1- stop! Do not feel guilty anymore.
You have to accept that you are not perfect. Understand that you can not do everything neither at home nor at work. We all have 24 hours in a day! At work, do not hesitate to talk with your team to find a good organization. If you have a family, do not feel guilty to make concessions. Discuss with your husband, your kids, your friends… they will easily understand and be proud of you.
2- define your own limits.
In order to have free time, you have to fix boundaries you will not push. We are over-connected, so the first thing to do it is to disconnect our phone, emails, messages, to fully enjoy with your loved ones. If you can avoid to take work at home, it is better.
3- define your priorities.
In order to not feel overwhelmed, it is better to make lists. Activities, work, appointments… it will help you to prioritize your tasks and not forget anything or anyone. Your personal life will be preserved.
4- do not forget yourself.
At work, the stress can also impact your personal life, that’s why it is essential to take care of yourself, even if you are at work. Take a break, read something, take a deep breathe or have a talk with a friend.
Usually, these rules are just common sense, but we frequently forget them.
