Whether you’re an online shop owner, blogger, content creator, or other girl boss professional, here are a few solid tips for how to be a girl boss. Take a look at the things that help get me through each day!
1. START A GIRL BOSS BLOG
My blog has helped me in SO many ways. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without it. It has helped me express my creativity, and share my passions and expertise to those who need it most!
If you’re wondering if you should start a girl boss blog, I say you should do it 100%! No one has your voice, your experiences or your stories and people need to hear them! If you feel like there are too many bloggers out there already, just remember that no one is YOU! Go girl!
2. HAVE A GIRL BOSS LIFESTYLE VISION
You can’t get to where you want to be without a clear vision. Why? Because without a girl boss lifestyle vision you don’t know what you’re trying to achieve. How to you want your day to day to look like? Do you want to build a team? What are your dream projects to work on?
Sit down and write or draw your boss lifestyle vision. Include everything from what your business will focus on to what your every day will look like. This will give your business a clear focus and keep you from going off in all the wrong directions.
3. CREATE GIRL BOSS GOALS
It’s very hard to see success without goals. From financial goals to growth goals, to customer service and networking goals, writing down goals can play a big part in the blooming of your girl boss business.
Be realistic with your goals, but don’t be afraid to dream big. And write your goals down!
4. READ BUSINESS AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT BOOKS
Some of the most successful entrepreneurs spend a significant amount of their day with their head buried in a book.
Find books that motivate you, teach you something, and make you want to do better. Check out my post on 7 books that should be on every creative’s reading list if you want to find some great ones!

5. FIND A GIRL BOSS MENTOR
Learning from those who have been where you are and where you want to go is essential to growing as a girl boss. Entrepreneurship isn’t always an easy road and success doesn’t happen overnight.
Find a mentor. Listen to their advice. Ask them for help when you need it and don’t be resistant to learning and growing in a new way.
6. START GIRL BOSS HABITS: CREATE AN AWESOME MORNING ROUTINE
It’s important to adopt girl boss habits if you want to be a girl boss. Along with a consistent exercise routine, a proper morning routine is also key! Wake up at the same time each day, write down your goals and to-do list, eat breakfast, and make a cup of tea.
Everyone has certain things that work best for them in terms of getting them started for the day. Maybe you like to read for half an hour before getting down to business, perhaps you need your morning yoga class or write a journal.
I suggest taking some me-time first thing in the morning. Checking your emails and getting straight to work can be extremely stressful. Even if you have a lot on your plate, take at least half an hour in the morning to get up, make breakfast and keep your mind off the day ahead.
