Still, plain water can be pretty boring sometimes, so why not add some tasty fruits and vegetables to your water? The mixture of vegetables and water is referred to as detox water, and it is the perfect way to get all the necessary nutrients required for clear, glowing skin. Since adding the right fruits, vegetables and herbs to your water can improve your skin and help you achieve the glowing skin you’re after, we’ve prepared these recipes of detox water for clear skin to set you on your way.
Cucumber, Mint and Lemon Detox Water
Mint is rich in antioxidants and flavonoids. It is also known for soothing and healing inflammation and keeping acne at bay. Cucumbers are of course full of anti-oxidants, including vitamin C, beta-carotene, and manganese. They are also hydrating which is essential for soft, supple skin.
To make the cucumber, lemon and mint clear skin detox water, you would need about 12 cups of filtered water, one medium-sized cucumber, 2-3 small organic lemons and finally, 10-12 organic mint leaves. Wash your lemons and cucumbers and slice thinly. Next, add the sliced lemons, cucumber and mint to the pitcher. Cover with water and refrigerate for a minimum of three hours or at the very most overnight. Your detox water is ready to go!
Lemon and Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Water
Apple cider vinegar is rich in enzymes that help to balance bacteria in your gut. It also helps you burn more fat, lowers your blood sugar levels and helps fight diabetes. It helps you feel more full which improves weight loss, lowers cholesterol and reduces your risk of heart disease while killing harmful bacteria, increasing your metabolism and reducing your belly fat. Citrus fruits like lemon, oranges, and grapes play key roles in the formation of collagen due to their high Vitamin C content and are considered antioxidants.
For a classic lemon water and apple cider vinegar detox water for clear skin, all you need is a cup of water, a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, half teaspoon ground cinnamon, a pinch of cayenne pepper (optional) and one or two tablespoons of honey (also optional). Then just combine all ingredients in a glass. Add extra honey if you prefer it sweeter, a few ice cubes for effect and voilà!
Raspberry, Kiwi and Peach Detox Water
This fruit-infused water is full of fresh raspberries, kiwis, and peaches. This detox water for clear skin not only tastes delightful, but you’ll also be drinking up fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants while at it. It’s also incredibly easy and quick to make. All you need to do here is to grab your favorite pitcher. Add a few glasses of water (depending on whether or not you’re entertaining guests) and then add slices of raspberry, kiwi, and peach to it. Add liberally and when you’re done stir the mixture and then refrigerate for a few hours. You could add some ice cubes when you’re ready to drink and you can refrigerate the rest to be enjoyed for the next two or three days.
Citrus Cucumber Detox Water
Citrus fruits make great detox water for clear skin because, in addition to all their vitamins and hidden nutrients, their strong flavors easily infuse into the water. You can use either lemon or orange for this detox water but lemon can lead to sour or bitter water if you’re not careful. Oranges have a much more desirable sweet and zesty flavor while maintaining the strong infusion properties of citrus fruits! The strong orange flavor paired with calming cucumber and a hint of mint makes for truly delightful infused water.
To prepare, simply slice a cucumber into 1/4-inch slices, put the same into your pitcher and combine with water, orange slices, and mint leaves. Then chill and infuse for at least 1 hour. Make sure not to infuse for more than 12 hours, remove the products if you want to keep the water longer. The water alone can last in your fridge for up to 3 days. You can also try out the cucumber and lemon detox water for clear skin and for this, simply wash your lemons (about two or three will do) and cucumber before slicing them thinly. Then, add the sliced lemons, cucumber and mint leaves to a pitcher. Pour in water till the mixture is submerged and refrigerate for a few hours. And you’re done!
Coconut Water and Cucumber Detox Water

Coconut water also goes a long way for people suffering from acne because; it naturally eliminates excess oil on the skin and balances the skin ph.
Just like the others, this recipe is very simple. All you need to do is to thinly slice one large cucumber. Place it in a glass jug and fill the jug from your large carton of coconut water. Mix together and leave in the refrigerator to chill. Alternatively, you could store a little quantity in a glass bottle and use the same as a toner.
